Rochon Polarizer is made of two birefringent material prisms cemented together, which is used in applications where good polarization selectivity is required across a large range of wavelengths. Rochon polarizer separates incident beam into ordinary ray and extrordinary ray like Wollaston Polarizer , but extraordinary ray is straight transmitted through, while ordinary is transmitted with a deviation angle. High polarization purity output is achieved with the use of a Rochon polarizer.

How does a Rochon Polarizer work?
A Rochon polarizer separates incident beams into ordinary and extraordinary like some other polarizers; however the p-polarization is transmitted straight through while the s-polarization is transmitted with a deviation angle.
