Optical grade quartz crystals has a broad transparent range of 0.2μm to 3.5μm, with high internal crystalline perfection and optical homogeneity. Quartz crystals has excellent mechanical and physical properties, easy to be fabricated, it also has low thermal expansion, high chemical resistance and non deliquesce. And moreover, it exhibits a refractive index difference around 0.009, which makes it widely used in the wave plates and polarization applications.
