BiB3O6 (BIBO) crystal is a promising nonlinear laser crystal, as it enables efficient generation of green or blue laser through second harmonic generation. BIBO has a wide transparency range spanning from 286nm to 2500nm (Fig: 1), along with a high damage threshold, large nonlinear coefficient (3.5 - 4 times higher than that of LBO crystal, 1.5 - 2 times higher than that of BBO crystal , ~ 8 times higher than that of KDP).
